Woodford History of 4 Wyndale Road S Woodford  

I lived at 4 Wyndale Road since birth 1943 till 1948ish. Family name was Mitchell nee Roberts nee Knight. Also resident was a Mr Ralph. Next door was the Maudling family at No6 and the Underwoods at No 2. Anyone know of this history or where to find it? Thanks. I am Brian Mitchell, 25 Sandown Road, Slough, Berks SL2 1TU. Woodford :Classics Book Club London East  

Hoping to form a club with a friendly local feel. The venue is minutes from the South Woodford underground station.

We'll be reading books at least 50 years old - the best endure after all, and sometimes it's interesting to read a book a bit different from what's on the best sellers list. BTW this is in no way intending to be intellectual or elitist.

The idea is to meet on the 1st Sunday morning of every month at 11 for chat about the book and life the universe and everything over a coffee/ drink/ brunch/ whatever. I have a regular venue in mind (near tube, roomy, cheapish, hopefully not noisy.)

Woodford Craft shop at Roding Valley  

There is a lovely little craft and quilting shop on the row of shops by Roding Valley station - sorry can't rememember the name of the shop but they run classes and taster sessions.

Woodford Guitar Group - Club  

I would like to start a club - group for people intersted in meeting up to play guitar together. There dosnt seem anything like this arouind at the moment (unless you know better?) If you can play a few chords or more or want to learn some or just fancymeeting up with other budding guitarists..
I am into playing anything from 50's to present day stuff

Woodford Spare Tiles?  

Hi,

A bit of a long shot but here goes – I bought some floor tiles from Olympus Tiles in Woodford, about four years ago. Unfortunately, two recently cracked and the shop no longer stocks them. Neither do any other tile shops in the area.

Does anyone have a couple of spare ones sitting in their shed or garage? They were manufactured by Elios and the colour is Medittaraneo Blue. Their size is approx 312mm by 312mm.
