Post or Ask something here in 'Willesden' ^ Willesden lawrences cafeI use to eat in there all the time, old ginger behind the counter, sure he use to wear a syrup, when he was adding up what you had he would say things like eh what did you have and he would say things like 1,6d 2 shillings,2,9d,3,6d,eh give us 3shillings,many a time when he was adding up I was counting what money I had,and thought I aint got enough, then the ginger so and so would drop the price.terry g Post reply -->London Willesden 6 Sep ^ Willesden Ginger Lawrencehe was a cheerfull person to talk to, his action behind the food counter if he had a queue was to slide the meal along to the customer waiting at the end of the counter, one day he misjudged it and the meal on the plate landed on the floor because the counter hatch was in the upright position,I think the customer had a free lunch that day.
