Post or Ask something here in 'Westminster' Westminster Warning to, Non Westminster resident, shoppers!This warning concerns Westminster Council Trading Standard/Consumer dept. If you are a Non-Westminster Council Resident who shops/buys a product from any shop with Westminster Councils areas, be advised of the following: If the product you buy, is faulty or the shop will not deal with it, and you approach Westminster's Trading standards, you are in for a shock, as the Council told Me, they do not serve or help Non Westminster reidents! I was told, one has to go back to their own Resdent Council, and get them to deal with it. It is LAW I was told. Since then, I emailed Westminster and asked if it was Law, which Law was it? Westminster has replied back, but instead of giving a Yes or No, have twisted my question around, and demanded my NAME, ADDRESS,etc, before they will answer my query! This illegal conduct. As I suspect what they told I, is not Law. So non-Westminster Council shoppers, do not buy from Westminster Council's area! Westminster The Two Chairman pubFrom the mid/late 1990s till 2002 a pal and I used to enjoy a pint in "The Two Chairman" pub. This historical pub had a marvelous atmosphere, sold real ale and good food. This particular pub must be one of the best pubs around and I will remember the the tavern with fondness. You are near a lot of government offices etc, so there is usually a high police presence, including an armed guard outside Scotland Yard (by St James' Park tube). Its quite quiet as well - not in a spooky way, but you don't come across large gangs of kids/teenagers/drunks standing on street corners. The only places I slightly avoid after dark are the large social housing estate on Great Peter Street, the street directly behind the House of Fraser and around Victoria station.
