I was greeted by a lovely gentleman who opened the door and invited me into the Spa. Although it was little quiet it had a lovely atmosphere. I was told it was under new management/ownership and would be offering many more services such as permanent hair removal and skin rejuvenation. I booked in for a consultation a week later and treatment later that week. The service i received was great! The aesthetic consultant that treated me was pleasent and i did not feel uncomfortable at all. I would definatly recommend Kenkou to my friends and family, infact my mum is coming over to visit me next week and i have booked her in to get her hair done and a manicure! If you didn't enjoy your experiance there before it will definately be worth your while to take another visit! Mail-me Post reply -->London Wapping Kimmy 22 Mar Wapping about kenkoui used to work for kenkou my self and i found that that salon itself is lovely, but the management side of things were terrible. the boss Keren does not even know about hairdressing and when you tried talking to her about things she thought she knew best but she didnt have a clue. thats why there is vast client loss and staff. trust me best thing to do is leave. as you see she posted sumthing on here so unprofesh Post reply -->London Wapping 23 Nov Wapping Hairdressers in WappingThere is a new salon on Wapping Wall. Its small, but I love it. They have some very experienced senior stylists or if want something simpler the juniors are competant and good value. The number of regular customers speak volumes. They really appreciate your custom too. I defected from Kenkou earlier this year. They give out refunds faster than haircuts and they have no idea what they are doing. One person I know threatened to take them to court for such poor service and permanent damage to her hair. cut your won hair, you will be safer! Stop insulting our intelligence - we're not that thick. The place looks pretty but I was generally unimpressed with the services levels - not polished or professional. I don't pay to listen to your staff gossip at high volume whilst doing each other's hair, which is what I experienced every time I went in there. The prices have been inflated since the change in management as well. Post reply -->London Wapping Jan 7 Jun ^ WappingWhen I went to KenKou I wasn't at all impressed.I thought the level of service was pretty bad, talking over your head to other staff and completely disregarding what hair colour I had asked for. Its over priced and not worth it, the new management seem to think they are exclusive and high quality but that is totally wrong. I also found the manager to be quite rude to the other staff but fakely nice to the customers which wasn't comfortable. Personally i'd love a local place for hair and beauty but Id rather drive out to get what I asked for. Just because something looks nice it doesn't mean it has a good reputation. Its a shame! I hear rumours that there is a campaign to try and get TfL to provide a mini ferry across the river from Wapping to make access to the Jubilee Line easier. Anyone know anything about it?
