Wanstead Bach flower course  

A nine week introductory course on Bach flower remedies from Wednesday 28th April between 1pm and 3pm at Wanstead House, the Green. This is free for those on means tested benefits and £64 for those that are waged. This course aims:
• To give learners the confidence to select appropriate Bach flower essences to support friends, family and themselves
• To explain flower essences as a holistic therapy

Wanstead Truffles chocolate shop  

Does anyone know the latest on (former)Truffles chocolate shop? Last I read the owner applied and got retrospective planning permission to demolish it! That's a joke, considering it was demolished illegally under the council's nose. His son claimed it was falling down before they demolished it...that's convenient. Another piece of our heritage lost. I only wish I'd taken photos of this beautiful old building for posterity.
No doubt the owner, if it ever gets to court, will get a fine amounting to much less than the profit he makes 'developing' the site.

Does anyone know what the 'Devon House' interior design shop( next to the driving test centre) in Hermon Hill is going to be? It seems to have had work done and signs say 'coming soon....' but what?
