As long as you take sensible precautions it's a friendly place to live, whereas don't get me started on Dalston - the mugging I experienced was the main reason we left..... The local paper has some grim stories, but honestly I don't think crime here is better or worse than most of east London. The Village has a nice feel and some very happy looking people. There dosnt seem anything like this arouind at the moment (unless you know better?) If you can play a few chords or more or want to learn some or just fancymeeting up with other budding guitarists.. It varies enourmously as to who and how many people they have along, but regularly have other gutarists ding a turn so it may be a good place to meet other people who may be interrested.
