My sister was born in an Anderson shelter at 153 Bulwer Rd during the blitz, she was at the time known as "the blitz baby". I have great memories of the Victory Parade in Fore St, those were the days. The Regal Cinema lived through the blitz only to be knocked down and become a german supermarket. The Angel Pub was removed to make way for the car.
