How are the primary schools? How easy is it to meet other mums/families? What is the parent community like? On another subject, how are the shops? Our show Snow White & the 7 stroppy Teenagers takes to the stage this week in Kingston at the performing arts centre @ KGS. In the weeks following, I will continue theatre classes based at the YMCA in Surbiton and the costs are very low, (only to cover the hire costs of the centre) and kids aged 7 - 16 years will get 2 hours of drama, dance and singing every Monday night from 5pm - 7pm. If you are interested, we will be working on a new musical for summer which all in the class will be performing in June. Please contact me if you wish your child to join. I'm moving back to Surbiton and wondered if there was anyone who either worked from home or was home alot and fancied an adorable (well behaved, and as active as you like) companion during the day/some days (even the very occasional evening)?? She's very well behaved and obedient. Likes to fetch balls and will trot along side you if you ride a bike. If you wanted to help out with some walking and/or sitting sometimes I'd be SO grateful. It's 9 10ths social - mainly new people to the district and quite often people don't read the book but come for beer and chat. Each Month I send out an Evite which names the book and a pub we will meet at. Then you just reply to the evite (it will remind you to come along 3-4 days before the meeting) and let us know if you are coming. We also try and do brunch once a month (no reading required). As I said - more social than hard core book worms, just an opportunity to meet new people. Age ranges a bit but c.30 is the average.
