It happened in the middle of the day in Waltham Market. I had my bike secured by the metal-cable-lock to a special stand. It wasn’t a new bike but a good one, mountain, man’s with 12 speeds. I personally maintained it because I needed it for every day. But it seems that for villains to act in the middle of the day in public place was no problem and they cut the cable and steal. If someone in South Woodford has man’s bike that not used anymore or need some repairs I would appreciate their offer. It was set up to stop stuff going into landfill. All sorts of stuff is offered on it and you can also ask for stuff, it is run via a yahoo group. There is a group for Redbridge, google it. My main bit of advice is sign up with a specific email account for it, it generates 100s of messages a week, so I'd keep it away from your normal email. I am! Only the other day I had to park at the far end of the car park and then run to get out of the rain, carrying my ten-month old daughter. Once I'd reached the covered area, I saw some fat, young woman without children waddling into her car parked in the closest possible mother and baby space. When I politely pointed this out, she just gave me abuse. Charming! I've complained to the management at Sainsbury because they should police these spaces. So, to all other mothers like me, please complain to the management here and tell them you'll go elsewhere. Maybe then they'll start taking notice! So you had to carry your 10 month old daughter...but the fat girl (as you politely called her) had to equally carry her body which I imagine was as heavy as your 10 month old daughter. And before you say - her weight is self-inflicted...so is your choice to have a child!! Stop expecting the rest of society to carry your choice to have children..because the rest of us don't. Car spaces at supermarkets shoud be a first come ..first served scenario. If a space is available..then the first one gets it. This does not apply to the disabled and elderly who really do need and deserve a space closer to the store.
