South Woodford Child pick-up from St Aubyns  

I am looking for someone reliable with previous experience, CRB and preferably childcare qualification to pick my 5 year old daughter up from St Aubyns after school (3.30pm) and bring her home, which is 10 minutes walk away, on Fridays and some Wednesdays until I am back from work (6.30 - 7pm). Additionally, there would be other babysitting opportunities. References will be required.

South Woodford History of 4 Wyndale Road S Woodford E18  

I lived at 4 Wyndale Road S Woodford from my birth in 1943 till about 1948. Family name is Mitchell, nee Roberts nee Knight. Other resident was a Mr Ralph. Next door were the Underwoods at No 2 and the Maudlings at No 6. Anyone know anything about any of these? I have family history back to 1525 in Pleshey Essex. Thanks. South Woodford Sainsburys parking barriers  

Does anyone know why Sainsburys has installed yellow barriers at the entrance of their car park? I usually park at the side of the brick wall in the evenings when I go to the Odeon but now it's limited to about 5 spaces there.

South Woodford Has a New Book Club Starting Up  

We'll meet in a venue in George Lane on the 1st Monday of every month at 7:00pm to talk about the book of the month and engage in a bit of social chit-chat over a coffee/wine/pint/bite.

The 1st meeting will have to be on the 2nd Monday of October, the 12th (because I have a previous commitment on the 1st Monday.) The first meeting is just for a bit of "getting to know each other" plus we'll be choosing the books for the first few months.

South Woodford : Classics Book Club London East  

Hoping to form a club with a friendly local feel. The venue is minutes from the South Woodford underground station.

We'll be reading books at least 50 years old - after all the best endure, and sometimes it's interesting to read a book a bit different from what's on the bestsellers list. BTW this is in no way intending to be intellectual or elitist.

The idea is to meet on the 1st Sunday morning of every month at 11 for chat about the book and life the universe and everything over a coffee/ drink/ brunch/ whatever. I have a regular venue in mind (near tube, roomy, cheapish, hopefully not noisy.)
