Richmond is a great location, you are pretty much guarenteed a seat on the district line in the mornings to work (which is always good). It is a very safe area, having lived here 6 years and never encountered any trouble I can highly recommend it. Yes there are supermarkets. In Richmond you have a Tesco and Waitrose. Just a short drive away (or 15 min walk from the station) you also have a large Sainsburys. No nightclubs to speak of (unless you include Park avenue) but a taxi home late on a weekend night from Clapham (for example) is about £20. Hope this is of help. Hope that is Post reply -->London Richmond 2 Mar ^ RichmondRichmond is a very safe area. The tube station will take you right into Kensington on the district line. There is an excellent Waitrose and Tesco which are open to quite late. A number of bars and restaurant although there is only night club which is pretty desperate but at least there is somewhere else to go after the pubs. Richmond Hill and Richmond Park is spectacular so there are fantastic walks. I think you will be very happy here.
