Post or Ask something here in 'Kensal Green' ^ Kensal Green Have you noticed the New Cafes in Kensal Rise/GreenVery close to Kensal Green near the bus station on Chamberlayne Road there are quite a few cafes. One is owned by a Spanish couple and makes fantastic hot chocolate and I should know (Spanish mother and wife). The local barber is excellent as is the bakery. There is also an authentic Spanish deli. The curry/Thai houses on Chamberlayne road are definitely worth a visit and have an excellent service particulary Curry Nights. On Harrow Road there is an amazing Cafe unusually called Boyz Cafe which in the evening sell the most fantastic takeaway Thai Curries ideal after a drink at Willian iv pub Kensal Green is definitely the New Nottinghill gate but its still affordable so get there while you can. Post reply -->London Kensal Green Manuel ^ Kensal GreenWhen you describe 'Kensal Green' I think you (and others) mean KENSAL RISE which has much more to it than Kensal Green ! kensal Green is pretty run down and rough! (In my opinion !) Post reply -->London Kensal Green Mike - info@united-foods.co.uk 7 Jan ^ Kensal GreenKensal Rise - as opposed to Kensal Green (the triangle off the Harrow Road)- is definitely the place to be. Kandana, the new deli on the bridge, the fab revamp of the old Buccaneer pub (near Gracelands) and the styllish new cafe on Station Terrace...what an improvement in the last few months. Now what we need is a decent bookshop (like Queens's Park Books) and some jazz venues..... An area like this should generate some exciting and varied music. I can hear you practising in Burrows Road, and come the Carnival..... So where are you on a balmy summer's eve? Post reply -->London Kensal Green Claire 1 Aug ^ Kensal Green Kensal Green - changing in 2006The transformation of the old Buccaneer pub into the 'Island' has been a huge improvement. The old pub was really shoddy and nobody went there. Now there is a really high quality restaurtant, prices have gone up and the place is much busier! Also the Mason's Arms on Harrow Road has had a substantial makeover with a really nice outside area - and is also much busier than it used to be. There are also plans to upgrade the Bakerloo station when the franchise ends in Nov 07. Kensal Green is on the up....! Post reply -->London Kensal Green david 7 Dec |
