We are looking for two other families with young children to get together and rent a house. We have one son who will be 3yrs old in May. We would like to experience living in a co-operative, communal environment, benefitting everyone involved: -children can play together and learn from each other -parents can share skills and childcare -bigger living space and garden -more economical consumption The idea is to rent a 6 or 7 bedroom house so that everyone can have their own space while also having communal areas. Ideally, we would like to live in Brockley/New Cross but we are flexible. This is clearly a long-term plan as we would have to get to know one another and discuss our expectations, so we are in no hurry to move and everything would be very informal to begin with. I had a meal there recently and the food was excellent, service good and atmsophere friendly. Will definately repeat the experience.  | Honor Oak Park The Old Bank Pizza by the station ...is possibly the worst experience of a restaurant I've ever had. The pizza's were terrible (uncooked to cold) and it took the staff 30 mins to take our order after being asked twice and then another 1hr for the food to arrive for only 2 people. The Wine selection is poor and the menu way too large. Simple would do so much better. On a brighter note the decor is fantastic and the ambience is great. This could be a brilliant opportunity for better management to turn the place around. Why they have not opened a little take away on the lower section I will never understand. It's the worst run restaurant imaginable - the food is awful - poorly sourced, cheap ingredients, hugely overpriced, the service unbelievably slow, the decor cheap and nasty... the only positive for me is that the portions are big. it's such a pity because it's the first thing you see when you step out of the station and if it were a half-decent restaurant, either doing simple, good food like jerk garden, or a quality set-up like babur, it would really draw people in. would love to see it managed better. She cleans, irons, does a great job very efficiently and has become like a member of the family. Her name is Doreena, and she comes through the agency Amy Cleaners (see their webpage).
