Post reply -->London Herne Hill Henry 12 Jan Should we remove this post ? ^ Herne Hill Washing Machine RepairsIf your washing machine has a simple fault you can often repair it yourself: If the motor runs but the drum doesn't turn then either the drive belt has broken or come loose - some [washing machine] high street shops carry a stock of belts for different models if you take the broken belt in to ensure a correct size replacement. If the motor doesn't run it's likely that the brushes have worn down that make contact with the armature - you can get replacement brushes for your model on spares/replacement websites on-line. These two common faults are easy to fix by getting the parts yourself and avoiding the high labour charges of a service repairman.
