Harringay Is this a nice area to live in?  

I've seen a flat by Harringay Green Lanes station, but don't really know the area. I work from home, so care less about transport than whether there are any shops, decent cafes etc, and whether it feels safe to walk home at night.

Any thoughts from those who know the area?

Harringay Ex-Local  

I use to live in the area and am looking to move back. There are plenty of 24 shops, several cafes and a collection of pubs. The Salsibury and The Garden Ladder are two i can recommend. As for feeling safe, the area is generally well light, and because of the 24 hours there are normally people around 24/7. I know you a not that interested in transport but the 29 stop just by the train station runs 24/7 and takes you into the heart of central london, which means if you don't feel comfortable walking down the hill from manor house tube station there is normally a bus that will take you home from the station, abd quite possible to your door.

Harringay The Hackney Players  

Try the above named group. Not Harringay but not far off! At the moment they are meeting in The wellington, Ballspond Road, on Monday evenings but hope to move back to their permanant home in Clapton soon. See their website. Bracey,  Mail-me
