HIGHGATE

Large victorian houses, and Highgate Cemetery, full of Victorian mausoleums and tombs, particulary attractive is Egyptian Avenue on the West side. I love it.

HIGHGATE whats good about highgate

Don't forget Hampstead Heath, one of the largest open green areas in north london. If you like your city areas leafy and with a village-feel, highgate is definitely good.

We are going to view a flat in Northwood Hall on saturday. Read the previous comment on the place and just want to know whether the hot water ever got sorted out and if there are any other problems we should be aware of.

Anyones urgent comment would be greatly appreciated.

HIGHGATE Northwood Hall (Hornsey Lane)

Has anyone got any information / opinions on Northwood Hall? Is it a good place to live?

I'm planning to move the end of the year, and have been to see a couple of properties in the block. The flats are good size (for London!), but I can't make my mind up.

Is there a residents assocation?
Are there any plans for any major refurbishments e.g. replacing windows, communal hallways etc.
Are the flats noisy - can you hear neighbours?
Security?
How is the parking situation?
Does it ever run out of hot water??
Would you recommend it to a friend?

Anything else?

HIGHGATE Northwood Hall

Hi - I live there and it's generally a great place to live but the managing agents are absolutely dreadful to deal with in my experience. I hate it when anything goes wrong (like the heating right now) because it means I have to contact them and I am always astounded by how rude they are!

HIGHGATE Northwood Hall

Hello. In answer to your question, I used to live in Northwood Hall. I only moved out when I was made redundant when, due to my financial imprudence, I feared a repossession if I did not sell up voluntarily. I have missed the place ever since.

I lived in Northwood Hall for 17 years. Apart from my time at University, when I also had the pleasure and privilege of being the only boy in a flat I was sharing with two lovely young women (in Dulwich South London) my years at Northwood Hall were the happiest of my life!

It is true that the service charges and the rates are rather high for Northwood Hall residents. However, when you consider that the service charges also include central heating and hot water, they are not at all bad.

There is some work coming up on the block. The central heating system is reaching the end of its useful life. It will probably need to be replaced within about a year from now. Also, I believe some work on the lifts was planned (althou

HIGHGATE Yes I do!

Go to the Winchester Tavern on Archway Rd- Highgate side of Suicide Bridge. I know they have a football team. It's also a good pub to watch the football in.

HIGHGATE I played in that team, for a few weeks!!

I´m from Chile, but I was living in Highgate for a few weeks (year 2001) and I could play in Highgate football club.
You have to ask for Trevor (in the tavern in Archway), he was the boss of the Highgate football club.

Sorry for my english.
