Does anybody know me why this is so? Post reply -->London Fulham north endNina 17 Oct ^ FulhamI totally agree with you. I moved to fulham whenI was five in the late sixtys. I remember all those wonderful shops as a child, going shopping with my mum and siblings. Fulham Baths and the old cinema was a weekly activity for lots of children including myself. I know you could never get those days back as I feel that was a completely different generation who genuienly cared about their community. However, I now avoid North End Road although I live some 10 minutes walk away. Such a shame. Post reply -->London Fulham marie 16 Jun ^ Fulham I dont agreeI go to the market on North End Road every week to get my fruit and veg. The Mediteranean supermarkets are wonderful and offer a great selection of interesting and unusual produce - much more than a mainstream supermarket and at better prices too. Dickinson's the butchers is top rate and The Well Bread is a great bakers. The junk shop at the corner of Lillie Road is good too. North End Road has character that you would lose if you turned it into a 'normal' high street with the same old shops that you can find everywhere. The swimming baths sound good though - I wish I had lived in Fulham while they were still there. Post reply -->London Fulham Clare 1 Jun ^ FulhamWhen I was a kid back in the the 50's and living in Fulham we were always in the Fulham swimming baths. also a public baths where you could have a bath ..It had a men's only, also a ladie's only plus a mixed pool. Do agree it would be like any other street if it had all the big names down there ..God I could tell a few tales about Fulham Post reply -->London Fulham Bruce Cooper 23 Aug ^ Fulham Living in FulhamI grew up in Fulham 50/60 and remember the North end road and many places including the swimming pool would love to reminice with anyone from that era about the good old days Mail-me Post reply -->London Fulham B 26 Dec ^ Fulham fulham in the 50sHi if you go to fulham football club website they are having a discussion about fulham in the 50's and 60's you should join in you might know some of the people from that time.
