I have found it a safe, friendly environment with a strong sense of community. Farquar / Jasper Roads are well located for the Triangle and Gipsy Hill Stn. If you move I dont think you'll regret it...  | ^ Crystal PalaceI have lived just off Farquhar Road for nearly two years and have had no problems whatsoever. In fact I convinced other friends to move to the area and they are also very happy - it looks green and leafy and nice, and it is! It doesnt even have a supermarket like Tescos or Sainsburys just a few small corner shops that takes advantage of there being no supermarket. The transport takes ages into town and the nightbus is *****, taxi from town is robbery. It does have its rough parts too, my girlfriend was mugged in our last week of living here. My advice for an extra bit of money get somewhere younger, more buzzing and on the tube. I think the adverts said that it opens on the last Sunday of each month as well, but I'm not certain of that (until I hear the ad again!) Y'know, I'd heard of the club but thought it was actually in Crystal Palace until I heard the advert. Hadn't realised it was at the football grounds. and pretty close by to me.
