Jakarta restaurant is one of the best I have been to. Its also reasonably priced. You can find it in Colindale, off teh Edgware Rd, near the VW dealership

Colindale Interesting things to do in Colindale  

I am looking to move to Colindale. Is there any new fitness suites around? What about the shoppping in that area? Is there a precinct, designer boutiques? What is the most interesting thing to do in Colindale? Are there any exciting clubs for young children (4-8 years) to get in volved in. I do not drive so the closer the better

Hi Nix, Designer boutiques? have you been and looked around Colindale? suggest you do! I'm moving there in couple of months, but not by choice, its the only place in London where houses are cheap.....and there is a reason for that!

Colindale Thinking of moving to Colindale  

I'm thinking of moving to Colindale....well thinking of buying a tiny flat to be exact. I'm just wondering what the neighbourhood is like. Is it easy to meet people if your single or is it more like a family oriented, area.

Any thoughts or opinions about the area would be much appreciated.

Is it close to the tube station? And most importantly..is it safe?

Colindale Evelyn Avenue  

Its about a 10 minute walk to the station and is actually situated on the outskirts of colindale next to Kingsbury. You have 2 major bus links to edgware, wembley, kilburn and brent cross less then 5 minutes walk.
Lovely quiet street. Nice houses and up and coming area. My ex actually lives on the same street.

Colindale Im looking for a reputable double-glazers !  

Are there any in the Colindale area?

I live in Pasteur Close, so if anyone living there, or possible the Birds estates (or anywhere in Colindale really) has had a good experience with a double glazing company then please put some details up in a reply (including any pros and cons as well as contact info)

Everyone I've checked out so far are asking for ridiculous "minimum fees". I only want two sets of windows knocking out and fitting in... one at either end of my flat.

I am a 28 year old male, thats extremely out going, & has a witty & crude sense of humour.
I have recently moved back to london & don't know anyone in my area, but i am willing to travel to meet people.

The Ash bar is a pretty good place to go to with friends, and there are a number of local pubs nearby too. Also try the Sky lounge, which is at the doorstep of hendon central station.

The Newspaper Library is well worth a visit. I've been going there on and off for over 20 years. You have to be 21 or over and need 2 forms of ID to get an annual pass.
