Clapham Junction Jim...........Skipper

...I have seen that kick boxing and it most boring, I don't see how you can get any enjoyment from it. When we boxed it taught you to look after your-self, self control and a respect for others, all the lad's I knew who boxed were great fellows, it kept us off the streets and out of trouble, ( sometimes ), not like today with some of 'em, who like to go around beating people up, we used to beat each other up. Happy days

Clapham Junction Hi Jan - Grays.....Rog in Oz

I go to Grays every Wednesday and I saw Jim there last night. He was wearing a white sports coat and blue suede shoes and doing some dirty dancing with a bird called Jeannie, with the light brown hair. He kept asking her to come outside and when he came back he had lipstick on his collar. He did the last waltz with Sheila which upset Helen so we had to hand a handkercheif to her. When last seen he was going down the road for cockles and mussels with that Molly Molone. I will let you know what he gets up to next week.
Rog

Clapham Junction - Hi Skipper

I am glad there are so many replies to my message. You sound like a right friendly bunch. Not sure how old you are Skipper, but sure I must be a LOT younger than you. What war are you referring to!! I remember my mum talking about the Spanish Civil War. I think they had someone called Peter lodging with them who was an evacuee. Not sure when that was....early/mid thirties. Hopefully, i have found some like minded friends.

I loved the Sound Of St Peters church Bells chiming for evening song on sundays the wedding bells And our old st peters Clock chimming the time, Where Did those lovely days go, the modernisers have a lot to answer for killing Communities the way they did in the 60 s70s loved the smell of fish n chips waffing up the rd & the trains trundling over the Railway Bridge the Steam that bellowed from those
