Post reply -->London Brick Lane 18 Jan ^ Brick Lane Is Brick Lane as dangerous as IHi Brick Lane has changed a lot since I was a child. I was born and raised in the area and still live here. It used to be a pretty rough area now the gangs wars have stopped as the young people have turned to religion and more involved with the Mosque so for this reason I have noticed a very positive result. The area is very safe and people look out for each other. Dont listen to all those people who say it's full of drug addicts, muggers, pimps, prostitutes..... etc. The area has cleaned up A LOT. Post reply -->London Brick Lane parvez 27 Feb ^ Brick LaneHi, Are you still looking for a flatmate or live togther? I need to move soon and if you are comfortable with a male flatmate, it sounds nice. I am interested to share room together. I am businessman. I am setting up new business in london so i like to stay in freindly environment and live together. I am 36 aged and single. I am a very easy going, open-minded, artistic, and sensitive to others needs kind of person. I could live alone, but I love people and prefer a house share. I understand if you think "no way" because of age ... or contact me if you're interested. I don't know London at all and I would like your honest opinion about this area. I'm a 22 french girl and would like to know where I'm going!! Thanks for your reply! Melanie Post reply -->London Brick Lane Melanie 1 Sep ^ Brick Lane brick lane is..^ Brick Lane DONT DO IT!!!I have lived very close to Brick Lane for over 20 years, I have seen many attacks, prostitution, pimping and gangs taking drugs outside my front door. I moved last year to Essex as Brick Lane area is too dangerous for my growing teenage daughters to go out and they had no life. So my advice is dont do it and find a better area Post reply -->London Brick Lane Jacqui 22 Sep ^ Brick Lane^ Brick Lane Brick LaneThe best thing about the area is the location, on the edge of zones 1 and 2 (London is divided in 6 zones, the greater the number the farther from downtown). Its about 5 minutes walking from Liverpool St station, which is a major transp. hub. The other good thing about the area is that the rents are still fairly affordable, mainly because most folks tend not to like having a council flat as neighbor or to live in one, altought that`s not big deal at all, the place is safe and the people around are quiet and orderly. You still have the proximity to Shoreditch / Hoxton, where lots of clubs and bars thrive, plus a fairly good stock of alternative shops. Mail-me Post reply -->London Brick Lane Ricardo 23 Dec ^ Brick Lane Dont do it...Hi Melanie, I would strongly not recommend living here, I work here and travel here everyday. it is definitely not the best are to live if you are moving here for the first time. Post reply -->London Brick Lane 17 Mar ^ Brick Lane Youll love it!Little restaurants (mainly indians), cafés, bars/clubs (good ones!), market (you'll find anything on sunday mornings), designer shops, Victoria Park (about 15m walk)... And you're not far from Columbia Rd, Hackney (I think you'd like the "Hackney City Farm" concept) and Shoreditch (with the famous Hoxton Square)... The whole thing is trendy and lively. To conclude, if you can live there, go for it! Petit conseil/avis de Lise Post reply -->London Brick Lane Lise 17 Oct |
