It used to be a pretty rough area now the gangs wars have stopped as the young people have turned to religion and more involved with the Mosque so for this reason I have noticed a very positive result. The area is very safe and people look out for each other. Dont listen to all those people who say it's full of drug addicts, muggers, pimps, prostitutes..... etc. The area has cleaned up A LOT. I moved last year to Essex as Brick Lane area is too dangerous for my growing teenage daughters to go out and they had no life.
