If you can afford it Bow Quarter is by far the best place to live! You also have both underground & DLR to use Theres so nice pubs around & a good crowd! Hope this helps Post reply -->London Bow Becky 24 May Should we remove this post ? ^ Bow Moving to BowI lived in Kilburn for 3 years and have now been living in Bow for 2. To compare I would say Kilburn has more accessible amenities and obviously it is closer to the west end but I find Bow to be better value for money, safer, closer to the City and with Victoria Park nearby there's more green space. There are not that many pubs in and restaurants in the area but there are enough to keep you going particularly Morgan Arms and The Castle. You also have plently of restaurants in Canary Wharf which is V. close on DLR. You are also fairly close to areas such as Farringdon. Hoxton, Clerkenwell and Shoreditch which have lots of bars clubs and restaurants as well as gallaries. All in all I would opt for Bow over Kilburn unless Iwas super rich and could afford to live on either the Maida Vale/Kilburn or the West Hampstead/Kilburn border! Thanks for the info on Stratford too - it looks interesting and up-and-coming. Any more info on experiences of living in the Bow Quarter, Stratford or East in general would be great, cheers! Post reply -->London Bow Mark 11 Jun Should we remove this post ? Bow Bow quarter I am researching gated communities for a play(!) Does anyone live in Bow quarter or know anyone who does? Or do you have an opinion about it? Would you be prepared to be interviewed? By email? It would be an act of altruism - all I could offer would be tickets to said play presuming the theatre who commissioned it thinks I've done a good enough job! This is a long shot I know. Bow Bathroom / Kitchen Fitter RecommendationHi, can anyone recommend a very reliable bathroom fitter who doesn't charge the earth and works to a high standard? I'm really struggling to get a decent recommendation and more importantly a price that I can afford on my part-time salary! I'd prefer a local all-rounder who'll do the job for an agreed price with no hidden extras. I'd be very grateful for any personal recommendations - thanks Mail-me Post reply -->London Bow lorna_bow@hotmail.com 29 Mar Should we remove this post ? Bow NEAREST SUPERMARKET TO BOW QUARTER?DUE TO MOVE IN VERY SOON... BIT WORRIED, WHERE THE HELL DO I DO MY SHOPPING? (AND i DON'T HAVE A CAR! ) Post reply -->London Bow JULES 1 Mar Should we remove this post ? ^ Bow Supermarket near Bow QuarterYour nearest supermarket is the Safeway/Morrison's just off Roman Road, by the Street Market and Learning Centre; this is less than ten minutes walk away. You can also get the S2 bus to the large Tesco at Bromley-by-Bow. Post reply -->London Bow Julian and Phil 2 Mar Should we remove this post ? ^ BowHi I live in the Bow Quarter but am leaving to go travelling soon. Lived here for two years & it's fantastic! The best place to live in East London. Tesco is your best bet - you can get the Stratford bus from outside the bus garage & it takes a about 5 mins & stops out side Tesco. If you have loads of shopping I usually just get a taxi back, only costs £3.50 which is cool. If not Safeway is down Roman Road (10 minute walk) It's not as good as Tesco though! I hope this helps Post reply -->London Bow Becky 24 May Should we remove this post ? ^ Bowtesco metro in well street e9 get a bus to statford massive morrison tesco in bromley by bow The only one that would be 15 20 minutes walk all depends on were u r based is tesco metro hackney Post reply -->London Bow 13 Aug Should we remove this post ? ^ BowOr use the Somerfield's on Bow Road itself- less than 5 minutes walk but a bit limited Post reply -->London Bow 14 Aug Should we remove this post ? ^ Bow Your email account is not working!!Hi, I've just started running (quite badly) and would be keen to try out Vicky Park.
