You should be able to negotiate a better price than they first offer ! Smallish but well equiped & well maintained with a proper fe weights section. Personally I have moved from my City job & need a new convenient gym which is on my rat run - so I am seriously considering it. for plyometric sports conditioning. Best of luck. One with Olympic Bars and Elieko Discs and/or Just good metal to train. And cost affective not the o2 type with cheap thrills and frills and cost and arm and leg to train there. I know of the Gyms in Bethnal Green and Crystal Palace but its too far. I dont want to spend a day out just to get to the gym! Another bookshop has opened up on the site (Daunt Books), but the old owner is not involved in that store. It's possible that the new owners will be able to help track him down. Anyway, sadly the Belsize Bookshop is long gone, now a branch of independent travel booksellers Richard Daunt. I worked at the BB in 1977-78 - my first job straight out of uni, and have many happy memories of the shop, and Don and Bob, and the wonderful (often very eccentric) customers. Sadly I have lost contact with Don so can't help further. I found your question because I Googled to see if I could trace him! Good luck in finding him. There is very limited number of specially built houses between 1820-1860. Large scale grandiose white stucco house with high ceilings and special character. They don't exist anywhere else in London. They are mainly on Belsize Park Gardens. Belsize Park, Belsize Avenue, Belsize Grove and Buckland crescent. The roads are tree lined. The Belsize Village ( where Belsize Terrace and Belsize Lane meet at the top of Belsize Park gardens) is one of the most quite and beautiful villages in Hampstead ( there is South End Green Village, Hampstead Village and Oak village, all within 10 minutes walk ). The village is quite has several shops and keepers are very polite and helpful. You would run to many famous people. You can have the vibrant parts ( Haverstock hill with Screen on the Hill Cinema, the trendy cafes, wine bars and restaurants) or the culture in Hampstead Theatre ( By Swiss Cottage tube). There are many shops on England's lane ( by the pub) and Crispin's supermarket ( not very good and expensive) - your best bet ( that is what I do) is Waitrose on Finchley Road - they have a carpark- or you taka taxi from outside. There are some shops near you on Winchester Road ( if you are Swiss Cottage end of Fellow's road). Chamomille Cafe on Englands lane is very nice and frendly.
