Post or Ask something here in 'Beckton' Beckton living in beckton and where are the good area ?i am thinking of renting a flat in savage gardens beckton E6. i understand there are lot of anti social behaviour in that area . is it very bad in that area regarding crimes, gang and anti social behaviour? generally where is the good quiet and peaceful area in beckton to live? I wish l could recommend this part of Beckton, but regrettably, l cannot due to anti social behaviour, petty crime etc at this time. The police have limited resources and anti social behaviour, petty crime is not a priority for them. If you must live in Beckton, then the only part of Beckton l have heard favourable comments by residents is West Beckton. I know most kids in the area and have alot of friends here so know the day to day rubbish people are talking about. but to be fair I am 18 have a full time job with the council and am a bit fed up with you lot on here saying all us kids are basically crazy. There are kids on winsor estate that are young thugs and to be honest are invloved in drugs and crime but on a hole we are all individuals and we are not all the same. Savage gardens is where I live and we are a close community of people that actually want a nice life so please think before you say chav kids from beckton because were not all the same and you were not a perfect child i can well believe. According to Sergeant Hepple there are two hot spots for anti-social behaviour in Beckton. One is Angelica Drive/Windsor Terrace area, and the other is Savage Gardens. Where on Savage Gardens is this 'close community' you speak of? Never did see it myself.... Almost ALL crime related activity l have seen in Beckton is associated with people below the age of 21. Including the serious assaults which have taken place in New Beckton Park, Savage Gardens this year. One of which l witnessed. If you know any of the low-life who are involved in crime/Anti-Social behaviour, l hope you are reporting them to the Local Safer Neighbourhood team headed by Sergeant Hepple. Simply saying the obvious, 'that we are not all the same' is not a solution to anything. And wins you no Brownie points. Navid. Post reply -->London Beckton Luke 2 Sep ^ Beckton not bad but....Albatross Close isn't bad -- it's the relatively new flat complex right north of the ASDA roundabout along Newham Way, right in front of West Ham's practice field. The flats are very nice inside when I visited there, though the area around it's a bit rough - right next to Winsor Terrace that people keep talking about on here. Seems its mostly for people with cars. Close to ASDA, Beckton DLR, and A13, could do much worse... Post reply -->London Beckton John 29 Sep ^ Beckton I live in Oxford cityand I'm considering moving to Beckton if I am offered a job here. However, I will commute form Oxford for the first few months. I'm not put off by anything I've read. Can you beleive there are actually quite a few council estates in Oxford whre you wouldn't want to walk around during the day let alone night time. There have been several murders here and not of the Inspector Morse variety. A man was stabbed to death outside a pub in Oxford last week. So really, bad things can happen aywhere. Gave me the impression that this part of Beckton was actually a pleasent place to live in.
