Poetry My Life

Midnight struck a chord in the quiet lane
The rain fell silent on the window pane
No cat in the alley or dog in the bin
No sleeping policeman no wind strewn tin

My name has no meaning on this cold street
My head is numb and I can't feel my feet
But this is my home where I'm force to live
my dining room is through the bins I sieve

My neighbours are the passers by who only grumble
Kick me and spit a they walk by and mumble
I was like them once 'til fate played its hand
and let me slip like open fingers holding sand

So forgive my pressence on this forsaken place
Forgive the pity that I can clearly see on your face
Just give me my space and a welcome smile
And we can both go on living for this short while

I mean you no harm I you show no remorse
I just need a lift up from my fallen horse
Technically speaking I am a person just like you
So why do you treat me like the sh;t on your shoe

Poetry BRILLIANT!

This poem really touched me! It tells the story of a man down and out and living on the streets. I think it was absolutely brilliant! And the best one I have read so far. I also wrote a poem about an alcoholic one amusing and one sad. I also have a Polish half brother who lived in a cemetary, and a chronic alcoholic, so I can relate to this poem very well. You have talent! Well done!

A husband is like a palatable wine
Having started in a bunch as a grape
Then stomped on in order to refine
Kept in the dark to ripen and mature
Until fit company with whom to dine

Poetry THE TRUTH ASTROLOGERS WOULDíNT TELL YOU ABOUT ARIES

Most Aries people are pioneering typically
And hold everyone in contempt usually
Known to be quick tempered and impatient
Short fused, unforbearing and intolerant
Snobbishly superior and scornful of advice
In short Aries people are just not very nice

Poetry Mother

Shoulders so broad
On a small, soft frame
Eyes of brown, with an ember flame
Hands once young and now are worn
She was my mother
I was her fawn
A lifetime of memories deep in my heart
A burning sadness, now we're apart
Her weary face, her pain borne well
A resting place upon to dwell
With love and thoughts of a happier time
She was lovely, and I'm proud she was mine.

Poetry ODE TO ANTON

Eyes of blazing green
What we wouldn't do to be seen
With Anthony
Always smiling, always kind
A better man, one cannot find
Full of laughter, full of cheer
Our day out in Brighton
That pint of beer
The seagulls, the sand the sun and sea
Bring special memories of you and me.

Poetry My secret love.

Another end of another day,
Another torment for yesterday,
Be my love so far away,
Our souls connect in other ways.

Our love is special and of joy,
Come to me now, don't be coey,
Fruit will form on naked branch,
You my love cause my avalanche.

My heart, my desire still burn more,
Yet I choose my love to store,
Away from your knowledge and idea,
In my secret love of you my dear.

One day we shall be joined as one,
And until that day my love is done,
For no other could be so right,
Nor could they attract my sight.

But you still are held by another man,
Someone who holds your attention span,
It hurts me more when he lies to you,
Despite the fact that you cry to.

I wish you all the luck for the day,
And hope we can be together some way,
You make me smile with one sole thought,
You are my angel, that the good lord brought.

xXx

Poetry UPDATE

You told me that you and your man are no more,
I've bided my time and now wait at your door,
To ask the question that I've longed to say,
Have dinner with me and walk my way?

Who knows where our love may go from here
So why not join me as we drink a cold beer
You still make me smile and think so pure
You are still the only one that I could adore

So lets not hestitate and lets be one for real
Stop the games and see what love can deal
I'll ask you next time I see you alone for sure
I'm not going to lose you to another once more

xXx

Poetry Beep Beep

Beep Beep
Its not you
Deep breath click lighter
Staring at the phone
Waiting for you too text me and tell me I'm not alone

900 channels canít hold my attention
Transfixed by the glow of my inbox on my phone

But I canít communicate
Beside asides
And unwitty remarks
So I sit and wait

Maybe youíre busy
Maybe you want me to be all alone
Maybe you have not seen your phone
Maybe I should stop being a prat
And admit to the fear and self loathing that holds me back

Beep Beep
Itís not her itís her
And a thousand more statements go unsaid

just something i knocked together on the tube this morning any comments and its based on a conversation over heard rather than me !

Poetry My First Adult Poem

This looks like fun, new to this poetry stuff so please rate.

The summer winds now blow gently through,
An igo of ice, a wooden canoe,
I struggle with things that make me thinks,
Oh my dear lord this poem does stink.

If the words could just come to flow,
Like that summer breeze that tickles my toe,
The lyrics and rhythm torment my soul,
Beauty and emotion - the poets goal

Poetry Perhaps

Dark clouds drifting across the sky
Like the love tween you and I
May this moment never die
Like the love you once had for her.
Now I see the sun peep through
The mist surrounding me and you
And I know the turmoil is almost over
Perhaps.

Poetry Lost Love

The whisper of the wind
Like your warm breath in my ear
Reminds me how I loved you so
And wish that you were here
The days ahead are lonely
My heart is bruised and sad
You were my one and only
I am glad for the time we had.

Poetry drifted....

drifted
on a river i could not control.
no longer guided
by my bargemans ropes
they where captured
by howling indians
who nailed them naked
to coulered ropes.

lights flash
knees crack
leaves scratch there anger

Do you like this poem?

Spider Web

Outside my windowa
a spider spins its web

No Matter how i look at it
it would be a miracle
if anything catches on it

What would it accomplish if it did nothing?
With that attitude it spins its web
to make a living

People should be like that too

Ah All through the past
I lived like that
This is telling me to live
the same way in the present

We like life of poem

If you like on it, Welcome on you..

I am looking forward to meeting on you..

Poetry blink and you might miss it

Opportunities are novelties they're rare and discreet, one day they could arise from a new person that you meet,
and if you overlooked it- someone else took it,
so self-belief is crucial,
unusual is a man who knows he can.
To some people a door is a door, to chancers it's more,
for they'll take the time to open it up and explore,
in a world where few are greatly known,
and modesty is shown as a great quality,
please shine with me,
for one day we'll be both.

Poetry The Mind of a Fallen One...

Swimming in a pool of dreams;
Nothing is at it seems...
Darkness suffocating
The torch of life as it's vanishing...
My eyes close;
Wishing for sweet repose...

The darkness of my subconscious rules,
The sphere of my comprehension longs for clues...
In the silence, the clock ticks away,
The pulses of my heart are in dismay;
Dismissing life & light,
Even the will to live & fight...

Out of the sights of people & days;
I fade away, witnessing my decay...
Out of the reach of people & seasons,
I shy myself away from all treason...
Out of sight & out of reach;
My mind's inner demons become unleashed,
Paving the way for my salvation.
Or yet a new damnation.

What would have been really impressive is this message being written as a poem.

Try harder next time!

So it's having a rest.
To fix it real quickly
We are doing our best.

Poetry to know my heart and my mind

to know my heart and my mind
which follow me to a path of crime
buzzing about the shit i rob in the amount of time
these days i try to forgot
regret these miss slipped steps
that drew me to the gret(cigerret
to blow off this un wanted stress
never the less
i redeem my self with an armor and stelf
know theres know reason to call from this beakon of help
with these draws that i smoke and hang from my belt
my destiny is no matter of chocie
but chance
to advance to this next level where my actions can be vioced

to this mission that aint been completed
