Basically I need great children's drawings, that I will work into printable format for silk print on clothes. The money earned when selling these clothes will then go to children's charity. I see it as a way to help children help other children. I will in no way try to pass the illustrations on as my own, but rather give the artist all credits on the tag of the clothes as a part of the story of the item. Any illustration donated is welcome, and will be appreciated. Anyone running a children's drawing workshop interested? Any school teachers? or moms? :) Thank you very much!! My focus is currently on oils Post reply -->London Art Club L 13 Jan Art ClubI am an art educator in a Chicago, Illinois (U.S.A.) public primary school. We are looking to do an art exchange via postcard with students in grades 3-8 (ages 8-14). Our students would paint a subject (perhaps a scene of our city) on front of water color post card, then write something on the reverse side. I would collect them and post them to your school, for discussion, display, etc. You, in turn, would have your own students "send" our students similar postcards or student art on regular paper (whatever you wish, of course). How does this sound? Please let me know. I am Mr. Reuven A. Robinson, at the Officer Donald Marquez Charter School. e-,mail is Mail-me . Post reply -->London Art Club Mr. Reuven A. A multimedia installation by artists Sam Sutcliffe & Marlon Diamond.Red Gate Gallery 209a Coldharbour Lane London SW9 8RU Private View: Tues 5th of January 2010 - 6 pm to 11 pm Exhibition runs from: Mon 4th of January 2010 – Tuesday 5th January 2010 Gallery Opening Hours: Mon, Tues: 2.30 pm - 6.30 pm Last day of Exhibition: Tues 5th of Dec: 11.00am to 5.00pm ‘Incandescence’ is a collaborative installation by video artists Sam Sutcliffe and Marlon Diamond. Using video, audio and photography the exhibition examines the aspirational side of human behaviour. The installation does not limit itself to age, race or gender. Everyone’s contribution is unique and valid, we all dream and aspire whether attainable or not. Human aspirations are a vague, fantastical, ambivalent and dream-like facet of identity yet are a very true part of peoples’ personalities. ‘Incandescence’ will question what it is that drives us to aspire and how do social constraints affect this very human phenomenon? Post reply -->London Art Club Yara Tschallener 24 Nov Art Club Art ClubsHi, Are you interested in art, art appreciation or art history and would like to set up an art group in your area. Perhaps you’d like to attend exhibitions and engage in discussions with like-minded people. We’d like to help. We are working on a national project that aims to support people like you who want to set up ‘learning circles’ – informal adult learning groups – in their own communities. We will pay expenses for travel and childcare (conditions apply), provide training and on-going mentoring, and even help you to find a free venue. The project will finish in March 2010, although the support will continue beyond this date, so please contact Ann ( Mail-me ) as soon as possible for more information.
